Camilla Franks is one of Australia’s leading fashion designers. She is the Founder and Creative Director of the CAMILLA brand, celebrated globally for her intricate, artistic prints, signature globe-trotting aesthetic and innovative designs, which bring stories from her travels to life through the magic of print.
The CAMILLA label launched at Australian Fashion Week in 2004, with a runway show that was designed to disrupt the industry. With no theatrics spared, Camilla created, choreographed and directed a fashion opera, which debuted the brand and set the stage for everything to come.
CAMILLA has evolved into a global print house and luxury brand with collections now sold in 55 countries across the globe. Prints are hand-drawn and painted by in-house artists, pieces cut and sewn by hand, and every embellishment is applied with exquisite precision.

The Eternal Journey
Twice a year, Camilla Franks heads off on a new global adventure to seek out inspiration for her next limited edition collection, immersing herself completely in each new place and in all its expressions: textiles, music, architecture, art, food, culture and daily life. With over 40,000 images, countless hours of footage, and a heart full of stories from her global wanderings, Camilla returns to Sydney to start the design process with her collective of in-house artists and designers. Each CAMILLA creation is a bespoke wearable artwork, designed with a meticulous print placement that falls beautifully across each and every body. Each piece is lovingly hand cut and sewn, beautifully artisan crafted, intricately embellished, and delivered to you with love.

"Travel truly is the best muse. I’ve always been intrigued by the unexpected and unknown. It’s a treasure hunt that I want to play time and time again. Each trip is a whirlwind of immersing and learning, celebrating the beautiful patchwork that humans and Mother Earth weave together. We craft an itinerary laden with landscapes, food, music, architecture, history, people and places. We immerse ourselves in worlds where we don’t often speak the same tongue, but connect through the language of textile, colour, food, and sound. My prints have become a diary of my travels, communicating the essence of far-flung destinations, communities, and culture. A poetic collision of imagery and personal experiences."
